July 12 Well I got back from KAC's ski trip and back home to my cosy soft bed that I've missed lol.. I did have a good time at Ski Trip though seeing as asian male testosterone under the influence of alcohol...is quite funny we had two
cabins, one which became the gambling cabin with guys playing poker for money
most of the time and the other cabin which had all the drunks lol.. I was in
the alchy cabin which doesn't mean to say I'm an alchy lol.. anywho...Matt and
I had fun snowboarding.. well falling on our butts really but still.. I got the
hang of it which is good.. uh.. the second day of the slopes Matt and I decided
to stay behind and observe the others.. near the end of the day me being my
usual self decided to have a little fun by making snowballs and well of course
throwing them hehehe... which resulted in a snowball fight and poor Wallace got
hit in the nose somehow and ended up bleeding... Drunken nights consisted of
theft, kidnapping, stripping, vomitting and hallucinations lol... the guys
stole from the other cabin majority of their furniture on the first
night...they kidnapped people and stripped on the last night as well
hallucinations of being invisible.. lol..all too funny though... the second
night was just a cruzzy night to relax pretty much so not alot went on then..
or was that the night of the other stripping.. stripping of tops... hmm.. not
too sure but probably lol.. well anyway after getting back I hung out
with Kat and Aneesya at Yazmeen's place to help with wedding stuff though I
can't really say I helped since I didn't.. but it was good to hang out with the
girls and chat and yea.. seeing as next semester I might not see them as much..
we'll see.. Also we (Kat, Dom, Aneesya, Leah and I) went shopping mainly to
look for jeans for Kat and maybe Dom and boots for Dom to I think... ended up
finding a nice red dress that I was able to get after being consider by well my
mum lol. oh and Kat got a Sari which looks prwettty... hehe.. and Aneesya got a
salvakami.(not sure of the spelling) from an indian store in mt roskil... oh
yea... lucky for us.. we found small dog tags that we've been looking for, for
over half a year now.. yay.. anyway.. that's all i have to say for now.. can't
think of much off the top of my head but i'll fill everyone in later if
anything comes up lol June 28 I learnt my lesson when trying to write
a year long review that took almost a whole day that this time I would try a
half yearly review which I hope is much shorter. So here goes:
January:
The year started off as it always does with me being bored during the holidays,
trying to fill up a lot of free time was a bit difficult plus the heat was
making me exhausted. I’ve become a casual worker at the $2 shop which was
originally supposed to be a temp job.
I’ve been forced into a new years’ resolution of trying to read more
books by my dear friends Kat and Aneesya lol, which I would admit isn’t too bad
as I’m not into watching tv so much these days and with only housework to do
during the weekday, it was good to read a novel strangely enough even better
that it was an action one. I went to the movies at St Lukes with Kat, Aneesya, Leah
and her group of friends and saw ‘I am Legend’. My dad went to Malaysia then
China for two weeks coming home with another big suitcase that we have no room
for... Aneesya and I had a two person surprise party for Sayantani at her place,
saw a movie from her laptop, drank a glass of wine which made me flush up badly
and just laughing about what we were expecting to happen this year or reminiscing
about the past years so was a pretty good day to celebrating her 18th
birthday though when we arrived she was in her pyjamas lol. Been helping lost
first years with uni and giving advice as well as I can.. man I wonder if we
ever worried so much compared to them.
February:
Over the past few weeks it’s just been work, work and more work. My boss at the
$2 shop was on his paternity leave for a few weeks though it’s not busy with
everyone at work and school, I’d been working in his place for the first week
but then put on call for the last couple of weeks which is annoying because I’m
unsure whether I was working that day or not so could never make any definite
plans. In between all that work I’ve had to work at Matthew’s family restaurant
for a couple days for Chinese New Year as it gets quite busy during that time,
it would have been three days but the first day is always spent with family and
my family always heads out for dinner. Helped
Matt’s family out at the lantern festival in Albert Park in town for three days,
so to make it easier by not having to travel back to my place at 12 something I
stayed over at his place, helped clean everything on the following Monday and
Matt and I went on our date consisting of Hell’s pizza and the movie ‘27
dresses’ since we could finally go out together at night time with his family
taking the night off from work lol. Read two more books of The Tomorrow Series...
with me being on call for a couple weeks it’s been good to catch up with Kat
and Aneesya and see how things have been, as well it’ll be Yazmeen’s wedding at
the end of the year and the three of us will be helping out with the planning.
Went to Suzy’s birthday with Kat at Sixth Sense, but before reaching our
destination we met up with Wallace, Matthew Yan, Sarena and her boyfriend Kevin
and took sticker photos. Spent Valentines Day with Matthew, went for lunch in
Henderson and dinner at Momo’s in Mt Albert. When I went to get my uni books I
found out 5 out of 6 textbooks (two are the accounting standards, where the pages
may be flimsy but make two really fat books) I needed were the size of a
phonebook weighing a total of roughly 15kgs! I think lol... glad Matt was there
to carry them for me huh? Lol... one week to go before uni officially starts. March:
Uni started and I found out that this semester was going to turn out like last
semester just a little harder, with two projects for business and infomgmt
again… sigh... as if I didn’t stress out enough last year.. on top of that were
three presentation assignments for accounting, what are they trying to do to
me? make me piss my pants. Also there is a hell of a lot more reading this year
than last.. sigh.. it’ll be readings that’ll take up my time now.. I had an
assignment due for business and let me ask you how do you write an essay on
communication? I’ll tell you, you can’t.. there is an unclear definition or
explanation for the word communication itself but yet I was meant to write a 2000
word essay on a case study based on it, what the?!! This course is going to
improve my English writing skills but it’s also going to kill me with workload,
actually it’s gonna kill me with the English writing since I was never any good
at essays.. reports I can do.. essays.. no…. My first accounting assignment was
due for 291, the calculations paper!!! Yes and it was pretty easy since I had
been practising hehe… got almost full marks if I had got the second question
right.. oh well.. April:
Ok a whole month gone and guess what? This month I had two presentations in
only a short period of 2 weeks with little to no instructions of how to get it
done, a business essay and a test to complete was just the highlight of this
month. I’m sure I passed my essay but not sure with what mark after having it
proof-read by Jay and getting a little help from Matt along the way, my test
that I thought I screwed up cuz of a minor mistake but luckily JUST passed. As
well as those I needed to help on starting my infomgmt project and man was it a
lot of work.. but one good thing.. the infomgmt test was theory hallelujah!!
Think that’s how its spelt lol.. oh also I had to prepare a presentation based
on research about ‘The 10 Best Companies to Work for…’ in groups and apply what
I learnt in that.. what the?? do you get how I’d do that? It was such a
confusing assignment… and we didn’t have to hand in the research, but if I made
bull crap then it wouldn’t have been similar to the other groups…sigh… but I
had a pretty good group with all girls, since I hadn’t had an all girl group
before lol.. also that infomgmt project? Yea well that needed some progress
happening seeing as the a site preview was drawing nearer to see where we were
at.. ugh.. oh and of course our first accounting
292 presentation was due as well the same day.. but that didn’t take as long as
we expect but yea..still laying it all out like that.. you can see why I want
to kill my course.. where was my sleep?? I needed my sleep especially food I
needed food.!!! L, the dumb thing is that this
semester my teams were all completely different members.. so I can’t kill two
birds with one stone.. damn.. didn’t think that through when I chose teams.. accounting
292 didn’t count.. we were assigned.. anyway.. at least 2 more months before I
can relax..
May:
Ok here’s the jist so far, I got a B- in my essay!! Yes the highest mark
I ever get for English lol.. I failed my infomgmt mid-semester test which in
one hour I had to answer 14 questions but in those 14 questions having three or
four other questions as well… grrr…. and I just passed both accounting mid-semester
tests. So far it looks like I’ll probably pass accounting 291 since my course
work marks are A’s, business got a B- for my presentation… so what’s left completing the final
accounting assignment for 292 as well as putting the finishing touches on our
site before we it went live for everyone else to break and before presenting.
After our business presentation, my team had a “mourning” session that at KFC,
then to mission bay which kinda resulted in skipping our last class for the day
but luckily it was only a workshop.. phew… uh.. there’s not much to report I
guess in terms of uni, but Kat, Aneesya, Dom and I managed to get together one
night for dinner, have pictures taken which was fun.. forgetting about what
needed to be done and just hanging out (at la porchetta). Oh oh.. the funny
thing was … aneesya.. hahahahaha she’s went girly girly…. With her little
heeled boots, and her skirts with her girly tops… man… 180 transformation right
there.. (by the time this is read she would have gotten the piss taken out of
her enough) oh also she also stands like a chick now.. like you know with one
leg bent and the other arm leaning on something compared to her folded arms
like she’s pissed off… ahahahahahahahaha oh this is probably the only month I
actually got to laugh at something lol… Oh yeah! The end of the month arrived
and it was now Matt and me’s one year anniversary but since it laid on a
Saturday it meant he had to do work for market, I went over and surprised him
with a gift consisting of a bear with a wine glass filled with paper stars,
fake roses, chocolate all wrapped in cellopane with a blue ribbon to top off….
Only took me this long to put it together too after thinking of it in one day
in February… lol
June:
EXAM month!!!! First up was.. infomgmt.. I wasn’t prepared.. we were
told that it would be like the test… It turned out that it was 10 questions in
three hours where some were from the mid semester test, that was good. The bad
thing… I didn’t revise the mid semester test… dumb me huh… I hope I did
alright, enough to just pass would be cool cuz then I’ll definitely be
repeating and the stink thing is it’s only offered in first semester so I can’t
repeat it till next year since it’s a pre-requisite for my third year papers if
I have to, oh and it was on my birthday… at night too … great end to my
birthday don’t ya think??, ending with an exam, but I got a ride home from
Logan (who gave me a card) so I could go to dinner with my family at 7pm but
tried to make it quick since… I had my accounting 291 exam the next morning….
Sigh…. But resulted in me getting back at like 9pm and only got in an hour of
cramming theory before dropping to sleep. It was calculation based so the 221
equivalent, good thing I studied that a bit more than I did for infomgmt cuz as
everyone knows anything that is mathematically based, the exams and tests
always way heavily on the practical side more than the theory side… I’m just a
little worried about accounting 291 because though I studied it I wrote
majority of my working in pencil so at best it’ll be partially marked.. sigh..
bad mistake on my behalf, but I did get all I could done though since I
probably stuffed up my theory… hm.. this reminds me of a situation in high
school where I did the same thing I think.
Accounting 292 was alright.. in terms of trying to study for it all I
did was study the practical cuz all the theory from the slides basically came
from the standards book that I took in with me anyway. I tried every question
but I managed to miss half of one part of a practical question cuz well I
didn’t read it and I think it’s worth 2 marks out of the 12 that it was worth
so yea… After my exam I met up with Dominica and Kathryn who gave me my present
for my birthday… a pen with a cool looking necklace that smells like Vanilla
all in a pretty black box with a bow… soo cool!! Hehehe… oh with a funny random
letter inside too.. lol.. Thanks again guys! Had pretty much one day to study
for Business since I decided to flag studying after my accounting exam…
Business was alright to study for I just had to remember the models and
some theory that wasn’t common sense but we’ll see how I went. The exam was
like my first semester last year… 8 essay questions to choose from... but only
having to do 5 only difference this time was that the first question was
compulsory and I presumed from the start when she told everyone that, that it
would have been relating to comparing two models…. Guess what??? …. I was
right.. lol.. well anyway I think it went ok.. I was able to answer all the
questions I chose but hopefully I was able to answer it properly. Anyway Yay!!
Exams over, now I can relax.. 3 more days till ski trip.. this time Matt’s
coming with me.. so yay.. since I heard quite a few people weren’t going it was
like.. awww…. Who am I gonna hang out with now other than the newbies?? So was
good Matt was coming and it was also his first time seeing snow and the first
time being out of Auckland, out of Auckland, not NZ :O so a good experience for
him too to get out of the Auckland Region and away from the rain.
I’ll end this half yearly review here and start a new one on a good note
with what went down at ski trip when I get back.. lol.. see ya guys in a week.
January 10 As my title suggests wow a year has been and gone.. and a year since i last posted. I'll try keeping a summary of last year as short as I can so you don't read such a boring blog.
First semester began the beginning of uni life, joined the KiwiAsian Club and made many new friends not only from my course but from many other faculties through existing friends. The Lantern Festival in March was alright, though I hadn't been there in a few years it seemed pretty much the same with the karate school performing and the food stalls out front all packed with people trying to fill their growling stomachs. I took Eva along with me as well as my mum and her friend and Henry, with Eva and I on our own I got her to try a few things and she liked them so she might go back this year for more lol.. we saw people with candy floss but couldn't find where to get them so the whole night we walked around and around to find the person selling it whilst looking at the pretty, bright festival but yet such a crowded place you would probably be focusing on not tripping on someone and trying to get through the crowd then it was time to go home and relax as uni was to start on Monday and man was I not prepared. The thing was I knew I needed to read a bit for uni, seeing as I don't prefer to read in the first place but the amount of reading that had to be done was so much it was like I can't have a social life if I want to keep up.
The first half of the first semester I was able to keep up and balance my social life with uni life as it wasn't as hectic or full on, giving some leniency to have some fun, with the assignments needing to be handed in one after another I was still able to attend the Orientation Bbq with Kathryn and Aneesya at Cornwall Park for the KiwiAsian Club and though we were a tad late we made it just in time to get spilt into teams to run up one tree hill and back down again.. yay!! lol.. other than that we managed to meet a few of Kathryn's intermediate friends and a few new ones who I've tried to keep in touch with when I can. The fun ended and the readings began again this time it was coming close to mid semester tests and any final assignments for the half of the semester being due, when another KiwiAsian Club Event arose, this time being the Dessert Night which was fun, having to skull ice tea, draw using our mouths with chocolate, a cake eating competition was even in there with a bet totalling around $40 all in all which got everyone hyped up but the best part was eating cake... mmmm soooo delicious too bad Aneesya couldn't make it as she had a law test that night and probably needed the sugar.
Finally!! Midsemester break had arrived but I still had to study seeing as all my tests were after the break so not really an actual break for me as well as having to continue with an assignment. All that studying was making my head a little disoriented with so much information stored in only a few days and not answering my txts much so why not take a break?! that's what I did lol.. took a break at the KiwiAsian Club's Sports Day at Avondale College which was soo much fun lol.. man I missed playing sports, we played netball, badminton, soccer and dodgeball.. by the end of the day not many people stayed and a whole lot more were in pain from all the running involved lol.. Later that second week of break I went on the KiwiAsian Club's Few Days Away trip without Kathryn, though she was originally going to go with me but decided to stay home to babysit her brother. Overrall it was fun, making up dances, me staying up all three nights.. major insomnia then, think it was the study.. and a hell of a lot of drinking on day one with an executive getting ko’ed and a few others just being totally wasted and a bit on day two for those that weren't driving back the next day but again with executives getting wasted and ko’ed lol.
Ahh.. the day had come, the end of break and my tests began and ended in just a week, sad to say I failed accounting my major but it was only the midsemester test and was sure I could do better in the finals.
A presentation was to be done for information management in only a week, seeing how I was pretty bad at speaking at assemblies in 7th form I didn't have much confidence speaking in uni, amazingly my team consisting of Lavanya, Jing Jing and I did pretty good and managed to get ourselves an A+ for it... go us!! Later that semester around mid May I had a pretty busy day, with classes in the morning, an assignment due, double booking myself with dodgeball and meeting my older brother in town, reffing a hockey game in Avondale College with the original intention of just supporting and then going to a KiwiAsian Event in Newmarket eating steamboat, playing pool and karaoke for some, just typing all that was a mouth full...but you get the jist of what happened.
The second half of semester kinda ended up making me fall behind in my readings for accounting as I had missed a chapter and then having so many assignments coming up that it made me lose track and stress especially after having 5 assignments due so close to one another and after completing one immediately getting another the next day, not being able to handle so much at once I ended up taking the short route on my final accounting assignment and failing it. Why is it that I seem to be jeopardizing my accounting major?? Why?
During the last few months I had been getting pretty cosy with this guy Matthew who was a friend of a friend of a friend lol.. and after all my assignments were completed and handed in we decided to go out as a couple, hiding it for about a week that we liked each other from others, it finally came out in the end and we’re still going strong, anyway I had only just over a week to study for my first final, information management, but first had to help Asenati a zeal leader with 2007’s prefect’s amazing race along with Antonia, Courtney, Kathryn and Desiree (sorry to those I forgot). That day was soo much fun, watching all those 7th formers run around in town not knowing where to go or where to look, it was a good reminder of how we had done ours.
My finals were soo annoying I started on the first day and finished on the last day, though it was good because it made my finals evenly spread out to study it was annoying because most people I knew had finished and were enjoying their holiday and I wanted mine. During my exam period it was my birthday and normally I don’t celebrate it or try not to, but this time was different, it was my first date with Matthew.. awww and he looked so handsome compared to me because I had an exam on my birthday, great start to celebrating my birth lol.., anyway we went and played pool, then walked around town till we reached the viaduct to just sit and gaze at the view together before heading to dinner at a Japanese place, soo delicious and romantic.. I won’t go into much detail as this blog isn’t going to get any shorter lol but it was a nice end to a bad start to the day.. so continuing on while I was studying for my last two exams I had to not only make my costume I was going to be wearing for the Ball Skit at the end of the year as Ling Xiao Yu but also get things packed for my ski trip with the KiwiAsian Club the next day after my last exam, this time Kathryn was coming with me so that was cool.
The ski trip was 4 days of fun, 2 days of drunkenness, 2 days of snow… it was the first time I saw snow as well since I arrived in NZ.. my butt got soo sore from falling so much and a sore wrist from falling on that as well that I decided to take the last day off and build a snowman with Kathryn, Sarena, Allen and Tim.. originally it was a competition between the boys and the girls but then we decided to merge the two. There were so many pictures that our snowman took… must have loved the short term fame lol.. also while onlookers were taking pictures we decided to have our own fun and have a snowball fight.. hehe.. while this reporter was apparently taking our pictures.. hmm.. wonder where those turned up. When it was about time to go and we were all waiting for the others to come down from the hill, we decided we’d throw snowballs at those that came down.. hehe man was that fun.. though my aim wasn’t that great..stink thing was on my way back I got majorly car sick but was fine when I got home. My final results for the first semester PASS!!! Passed them all yeayeah!! That will end my first half of my uni year..
Second semester is here.. this semester happened to be my project semester, having a project for business in terms of a simulation business company, one for information management in terms of making a software and all the little projects I helped with in order to try and become a KiwiAsian Executive for this year and skit practice. This semester wasn’t the amount of reading I had to do though it slightly is with business and accounting readings but it was more about the amount of meetings I had to attend, missing food!! L my business and information management project were pretty simultaneous in terms of when it started and when each team wanted to meet with each other. As the projects needed more attention I began to read my business textbook at uni on Sunday.. yea I know I’m at uni on a weekend but it was before getting picked up by Logan the organizer of skit to take me to practice so I had about 2 hours or so to kill, why not catch up, I actually did something productive in my spare time for once lol. I also eventually gave up on the amount of readings my information management lecturer wanted us to read on the net.. soooo many links… sooo little time… we’re not like him.. we don’t sit on our butts in front of a computer reading stuff like him.. who by the way is able to reply to an email in under 15 mins at 11pm… do I need to say more? I’d have to say though that second semester I had to see my friends less with all the commitments I had and also not go to as many KiwiAsian Events as I would have liked like paintball.. you know how much I love to shoot people with paint.. but I couldn’t go.
Nearing the mid of the first half of the second semester Kathryn and I had applied for the potential executive interview thing, I got in but it involved 4 months I believe of this interview which went by pretty fast. We met up for an overall general meeting and was split into teams using the device of a hat..lol.. I was with Mark, Kaye and Danny. Kathryn with Bettina, Marcus and Leo. Danny had left for a holiday for a couple of weeks so I had to work with Mark and Kaye till he got back and man was that difficult and thus I had to take charge and make decisions with the amount of things I had going on as it was it would have been nice if they could have made it a little easier especially since Mark did say that I did have quite a lot of work for a first year student. Our idea was Foodoke, where we ate and sung, I got to the restaurant just in time after having lunch with my family and family friends, had to leave early otherwise I would have missed my own event, not only was I stuffed from my own lunch but to make use of my money being there I had to stuff myself more, was sooo bloated after all that food, whereas some weren’t going back for seconds and thirds even.. so that turned out pretty good as not many people left after the food.. Kathryn’s team had an Amazing Race which seem pretty hard to organize but they got it done in the end with Aneesya and I lending a hand with handing out the clues. It was a little hectic for us as well having to run in many directions to fill in missing gaps where people were suppose to be and that was the day I stuffed up my phone.. lol.. made the battery completely die.
The projects continued, the assignments continued and the practices continued.. what next?! Tests, mid semester tests. First up economics test numero uno.. lol.. I actually studied for it and got 78% but sadly later in the semester I slacked off on the second test and dropped to 58% lol.. glad I wasn’t there to collect my paper from him hehe.. would have got such a disappointing look. I had my information management test and after relying heavily on theory I still failed but only just failed… the coding was what got me and if I had gotten at least one question fully right I probably would have just passed.. oh well..
As soon as the break ended midsemester break was here…yes!! Because it put one project on hold, business though too bad information management wasn’t but not like it would have made much difference. Aneesya’s birthday was the first day back so we thought we’d have it the day before on Sunday, lunch and Karaoke!! We had pizza, chips, cake and lollies with Kathryn, Chris and his girlfriend Katie, Eva, Priti, Dharsi, Dominica, Aradhna and her little sister and Leah.. while Kathryn and Dominica went to get pizza, Leah and I were trying to make a karate movie but when it came down to it, leah forgot the the moves half way and we ended up laughing. Dharsi was the only one that couldn’t go to Karaoke but she should have, it was soo crack up.. Chris and Katie just watched while the rest of us went nuts over the songs.. it was a good day before I had to leave to work the Matthew’s family restaurant… oh forgot to mention he had one, well now you know lol.
Another event had risen, Survivor and it was fun.. though it rained most of the time. We had to eat weetbix, burry people in sand, play the fighting game on a plank.. I can’t remember what it’s called, search for treasure and a quiz… soo much fun.. though I forgot to bring a towel or spare clothes.. how smart am I.. it was at a beach you think logically that’s what you do lol..
Next up was my brothers’ graduation.. he was graduating from his diploma and so I missed all my classes that day except the last one because it was compulsory to attend.. man was that ceremony long, we had lunch after at a nearby Chinese yum cha restaurant, but I had to leave soon so we finished up and I got dropped off at uni to attend class after almost being mistaken for not having uni when my dad was on his way home. The next day I had dinner at Pizza Hut in New Lynn with the hockey girls from Kelston Girls’ as I was invited for playing a game once, got to get to know the new girls in the team and caught up with my old team mates so that was fun before getting my oldest brother to take me home as I had a midsemester test for accounting the next day… and again.. why do I do these things around accounting?!
Another KiwiAsian event needed to be thought up from us potential executives and this time I was with Bettina, Danny and Marcus and Kathryn was with Mark, Kaye and Leo. We came up with an asian gameshow but to me I’m not entirely sure how well that went with everyone always on their butts and not getting much done.. though I think Kathryn’s project runway event was fun, messy and funny.. lol.. again with Aneesya and me being helpers lol..
Finally my projects were coming to an end, my last assignment gave me almost a month to complete so wasn’t high on my priority list, my information management presentation was first up and after being criticized about the colour and inconsistency we managed to pass with a presentation mark of a B and a delivery of a C+, oh well we still passed. My business project soon came to an end after our peer reviews, overall we passed that too but the actual performance itself we didn’t.. oh well was a good experience though. Finally it was time to vote on this year’s executives via a annual general meeting, the executives for this year is Kathryn, Danny, Marcus and Bettina out of the Potential Executives and Tim, Sang and Winner from last years executive team
Disappointed I didn’t get the position but I had to focus on my finals for the second semester after so much that happened especially trying to understand information management.. I met a friend in new lynn to help him with his assignment by giving him an interview based on the KiwiAsian Club. My first final was accounting which seemed to go pretty easily from what I thought later on that day I had to go to Matthew’s brother’s wedding..which was nice and small at the Perennial Gardens..Then off to the Penny City Restaurant for the reception a lot of food and a chocolate fountain!! Lol.. though as I was told if I didn’t eat vegetarian like Matthew’s family I wasn’t allowed to sit with him, not that hard a choice to make.. slow danced with him after being dragged by his younger sister and her boyfriend, hearing such funny speeches by both the groom’s best friend and the brides’ sister lol.. we eventually cleared up and left at 11.30 with me getting back at around 12 or so.. then back to study the next day as I had an economics final on Monday lol.. and my final two exams later that week as well..
Exams finished and it was time to help at the family restaurant as Matthew’s younger sisters had their NCEA exams to do and needed the study time so I was the replacement..Went to the KiwiAsian Club’s End of Year Party at Sixth Sense, got tipsy and left by 12.30 as Kathryn’s dad was giving me a ride home and didn’t want him to wait too long.. um.. what else celebrated my 6 month anniversary with Matthew at Muriwai beach which was fun.. got drenched by the waves lol.. just a pretty simple average westie styled celebration. Went to the Mission Bay beach with Kathryn, Aneesya, Matthew as our driver and Marcus.. we met up with Marcus after a while and we hung out.. with Aneesya and I chasing Matthew around.. me getting tossed in the water by Matthew and vice versa.. lol.. hilarious.. but was drenched the whole day that I had to always sit on a towel to not get the seats wet lol.. before heading home Kathryn, Aneesya and Matthew went looking for shells.. I would have joined in but didn’t feel like it as much as they did.. Head to Silverdale to go luging with my brother for our cousins 21st, ended up losing a bet and had to take $20 off my brothers debt to me.. oh well knew it was coming lol. I can’t drive as well as him. Start work at the $2 shop to take over Sayantani while she’s on holiday for two weeks... Spent Xmas evening at Matthew’s place having dinner and playing Pictionary with his siblings.. very funny game.. especially when people can hardly draw.. hehe.. oh and I PASSED!! Passed all my second semester papers but I’m not satisfied with the marks though and that’s the end of my year 2007.. man that turned out longer than I anticipated.. December 13
I haven't really posted that much since my exams ended and well what would there be to post... not much has really happened during these holidays. A few weeks ago there was a car crash between two cars in the weekend at the corner of the our school... and there were two groups of people involved. The cops came and the tow trucks so it took awhile before we could turn into the road to go home, anyway while watching I saw a friend of one of the drivers was what looked like he was congratulating for crashing? causing a scene? I don't know.. but it seemed pretty stupid. Lucky our school didn't get damaged since our walls are stone but one of the cars were pretty beaten up that the bumper was falling off.
On Saturday I went to Devil's (sayantani's) singstar party, it was pretty fun. When I got there the only other person there was Natasha who was singing against Devil's little sister. So I joined in until everyone else arrived. lol I should tell you I ain't a very good singer and I knew that lol.. once Neshia and Kat arrived we we made to eat. We danced, took pictures, then more singstar at which we were split into groups, the groups didn't matter much since people kept swapping to make up numbers and then dinner. The Red team won overall lol.. which was my original team before swapping so yay!! lol. After dinner we decided to play spin the bottle, truth or dare styles and after the first three people began to leave one by one lol... until it was Kat, Neshia, Devil and me who stayed up until about 2am just talking.. well.. most of the time laughing at Neshia hehe. Anyway we had to leave since we really weren't meant to stay that long, so I gave everyone a ride home.
Since then it's not been that intriguing. I've completed at least one thing I planned to which was a new puzzle that I got on Tuesday I think. Two pandas (mother and baby) above the great wall of china surrounded by bamboo. It was about 1000 pieces. Umm... I have still yet to make my frame for my shirt and at this rate I'm not sure if I'm going to get it done by my set date, which was early next year. But I will get it done lol.. even if it takes years.. but hopefully it doesn't. In between completing my puzzle and procrastinating making my frame I've been slowly making a box to put pens in to give to Priti's mum after requesting it on Saturday night.. lol.. it's better than handing her one pen with a little bow tied to it and it gave me something to do. Woohoo!!! yesterday was my final exam, economics and well that was just hard.. but all I do know is that I got a few simple things right but that's not going to make me pass so I'm going to need to wait for the results. I'm really looking forward to getting my stats results back because that's the one I think I did pretty good in well in one of the papers anyway. Well english and accounting I'm just afraid to get back lol.. man.. stupid subjects. Anyway I'll just have to put my mind off it until January when the results come in.
Lol after my economics exam, Cathy and I couldn't find the teacher to return my books. Now in our economics class we've been trying to find out how old she is since last year when Ayesha began asking, so we thought to carry on the tradition.. but really was because we wanted to know. Actually majority of our class wanted to know and there's only 13 of us, I know it's not good to ask a woman her age but she kept hinting out how old she could be while she tried to explain things so we took all that and tried to figure it out.. So after our exam we left a (ransom) note which said:

Ok first of all I want to announce those birthdays that have past that I didn't get to mention.. it's not that long. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, Vaishali (12 Oct), Lavenia and my Dad (21 Oct), Yasmeen (2 Nov), Courtney (4 Nov), my brother Tack (6 Nov) and the latest Jolene (15 Nov).
Now for the events that have happened since the last post. I'll try and make it as short as I can. I can't promise the length of the whole thing will be short though, just the writing for each one.
First up.. Zeal Graduation at Valentines, it was fun.. more food for free!! yay!! lol.. but nah it was good to see everyone dressed up again in a final farewell to the training programme and to the Zeal team.. but I'm sure we'll seen them sometime soon. We took a few pictures after the ceremony. Courtney, Kalo and Megan won the major prizes.. IGNITE were the winning team and had the winning proposal..
Sports Prizegiving...well what can I say.. all in all it wasn't really that interesting. The performance were on stage while the podium was on the floor.. I don't get why that was but eh... Nothing to interesting really happened that night. I just remember dropping Leva's gift as I gave it to her and the ribbon falling off but that's about it.
Kelston Girls' College farewells Mrs Basham ~ accounting teacher and dean. Mr Nuttall ~ maths teacher... Man they will be missed.. they were both great teachers both who have been in my life for the past 5 years. awww....
The Class of 2006... man after exams it's going to be a sad day.. not seeing my year 13's, many who will work.. many who will leave auckland to study.. well wherever they all may end up, go hard and enjoy. Best wishes to you all in your path to success lol... we're WOMEN of WORTH!!! Keep in touch.. because it'll be nice to catch up or just to see how you guys are doing. I would name them all but it's too many lol
Exam stress... ahhhhh.. I started studying but it kinda stopped after last week Monday lol. because well I went to the boys prizegiving on Tuesday and it was long.... and I mean long.... if i went home and took a shower and maybe ate a little then came back they still wouldn't be done.. that's how long it was lol... but all in all it was good. I got to see a few friends win prizes and just got to hang out a little bit with people from intermediate. Back to the topic.. exams... so yea I haven't studied and so far I only know a bit of ONE subject.. great... and my first 3 exams are in a row.. cramming won't work because it won't stick.. so I think I'll put myself on house arrest in order to get something done during the weekends.
Prizegiving and Graduation... Congrats to everyone that won something.. Kat ~ the Arts scholar, 1st in design, 1st in classics and 1st in ....( not sure what it's called but it's got to do with public speaking lol). Leva.. well there's just tooo many to mention.. the main one though was the Sports Scholar or Dux. Kavita ~ runner-up in academic scholar as well as I can't remember, Danica who was the academic scholar and 1st in something too hmmm.... I just remembered that they forgot to mention who the heads will be for 2007 hmmm... they probably did just while I wasn't there lol.. since I was out for a few minutes trying to get back to my seat without disrupting the ceremony lol.
Rainbow's End our year 13 trip... woohoo.... man was that hilarious lol the first ride I was on was the pirate ship and the majority of it was Kelston Girls' lol...there was like a row of people from another school who I bet were just laughing us cuz well we were loud.. I mean LOUD.. we were screaming as each side went up lol. I didn't get to take as many pictures as I wanted but I got enough. Well we got to eat this Yr 13 cake that our principal got, sung happy birthday to our former dean and then went back to going on the rides lol. Kat, Neshia, Jess, Megan, Courtney and me stayed behind after the school left. In the end Kat, Neshia and me went on the bumper boats and out of all the people I was the most soaked person.... shessh lol.. Just gang up on me lol.. but nah I probably earned it from tilting my boat inward anyway lol... October 27
Today was the school leaders of Kelston Girls' College's Leaders dinner with the Board of Trustees lol, it being a formal-casual dinner. Many dressed up a bit. We had a delay in arrivals as many people were running late, but once everyone arrived we heard speeches from Mrs Fox (principal), the chairman ( I forgot his name) and Mary. Finally it was dinner time woohoo!!! everyone eating as much as possible, since it was free hehe. Later was the fun bit.
Once everyone had finished dinner, we all began taking pictures... appropriate ones while in the restuarant and we even got some of the teachers to join in, so funny. Leaving the restuarant was just where all the fun began. Kat, Neshia, Tonia, Dez, Cathy and me left to take more pictures. Now being in Skycity whilst there were guests you would expect people to stare and it was no different but it was fun lol.. we walked outside to find more "props" to use. I saw the luggage trolley at the hotel across the road and thought we should use that, if we could that is. After wandering around the same spot for like a few minutes, Cathy finally asked the bellman I think if we could use the trolley to take a picture and surprisingly enough we were allowed. We just weren't allowed to stand on it... but the picture turned out pretty cool though lol...so the rest of the night we just went round taking more pictures.
We walked all the way down to Hobson St then decided we better head back, when I heard my mum calling from the car.. hehe she thinks we got lost after dinner trying to find the pick up point. Really we were gonna call round 10pm to get her to pick us up.. oh well we had our fun and we didn't want to go far just incase we did actually get lost and well can't really find our way back. lol.. Kat is sending me n Neshia the pictures now lol.. we're gonna do this again at our Zeal Graduation and Jess' birthday party tomorrow if we can but definately at our graduation lol no doubt bout that October 17
First week has gone by.. now usually it would go by fast because well.. you're having fun catching up with everyone about what they did in the holidays.. not in this case.. it went by fast with the amount of assessments shoved in my face in just a matter of days, plus getting our testimonial forms filled out..but that's not that big of a deal.
Accounting.. to get an Excellence, there's alot of writing involved and no one have started because no one can understand the resource we got given. By the way we're doing The Warehouse.. you think with an internal just using formulas it wouldn't be that hard.. but finding the factors needed for those formulas are really hard... damn it... why???!!!
English.. well yea.. it's a seminar that I gotta do, I know I'm not good at speaking but why a seminar.. I can't teach a thing.. I can do the roll but that's as far as I go.. so now I've just got to figure out how I'm going to start it off.. and if I can speak long enough or at least get the class to debate long enough hehe^^ but it's not that frustrating, just need to be interesting even if you don't have enough information... hmmm... interesting??? I don't think I can do that.
Statistics.. we're just studying for our next internal which is ok.. but I tend to forget what I figured out the last lesson.. not good, not good at all.
Oh just to let you know.. there all due on the same week... week 3, I have this week and the next week to get it all done which isn't very long.
On top of all that, there are dinners that I got to go to. First up is the BOT dinner at Skycity which is a formal-casual thing, but I or anyone else I've asked don't have formal-casual clothing just casual clothes which is pretty much jeans and a top lol.. well gotta find something...the next day is Jessica's birthday and that's not too bad.. but I think we may need to go out to find her a gift, where we going to fit that in. Following that we have a dress rehearsal for our Zeal Graduation... man who thought it would be that serious, not us that's for sure.. then the night after is our graduation..which we need to be dressed formally, so it's either find another dress to wear or do something to the one I've got.. not sure yet.. depending.. so ... pretty hectic couple of weeks. During those weeks we have to not only complete our internals but organise the Talent Quest, trips for classes, for year 13's, prizegiving... etc.. arghhhh.... I just want to get my internals out of the way, I badly need to study especially accounting, we got a huge pile of cards to revise.. and don't think I can remember them all by the time my exam comes around... Ok well the first day back from the holidays, not like I did much in the holidays anyway. Just a bit of study which didn't happen in the last week but hey I did have to take a break sometime, watched a couple of movies and played tennis.. I saw The Hills Have Eyes and Take the Lead with Neshia and her sister.. and I must say The Hills Have Eyes.. not watching the second one. It's just plain gruesome for a horror movie. No details necessary.. it's just plain gruesome.
First day back and we didn't really do much.. just took some notes and just eased into the school term.. although with all the sleep I got during the holidays it was kind of hard to stay awake in class lol. I do look more rested though than last term but I don't think it'll last as it gets closer to the end of our term. Especially with events coming up like the Talent Quest, prizegivings and any class end of year trips we may have as well as our yr13 trip and our prefect dinner.. so for now.. hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe.. it'll be the last time that'll happen for a while. Lol, it being the last period of the term. You would so expect to get up to something. Since I had accounting last and we were previously told that our teacher wouldn't be here. We tricked the reliever into believing that we were suppose to plan our end of year accounting trip, which we did do for like 10 minutes. Now with a class of 4 since many signed out and a couple just didn't come at all.. we ended up taking random pictures. The reliever is reading her book while looking at us as just weird senior students.. suppose to be mature and revise on the last period lol.. not us lol.. we mucked around and we did have fun. It was the most relaxed period of all.. too bad that the whole class wasn't there, because then we could definately have taken other pictures.. not just mainly 3 people lol.
Later on afterschool Neshia, her sister Lea and I went to Kelston Intermediate to say farewell to an old teacher Mr Lua. We were told to be there by 4pm but really it started at like 5:30pm.. it didn't even start at the time it was suppose to which was 4:30pm lol.. well Neshia had to go by 5pm so she missed out on everything. Finally when it got started, our school went first. Desiree sung a beautiful song.. not sure of the name as well as giving a little speech of what she thought of Mr Lua, after her was the Tongan group who performed a dance. The boys were up next and first Michael (head boy) gave his little speech about being pushed to be the best and so on.. then they all sung a song and performed a little skit which was hilarious... because it actually showed what it was like in his class. I would know I was in that class and witnessed everything lmao. I saw a few people I knew from intermediate as well as primary. I thought more ex-students would go to it and say farewell but apparently not.. hmmm....
After that was finished, I went up to our school to watch the D-Shock performance... me being the only one that had a car lol.. gave Albert (friend from primary) a ride, I hardly spoken to him even in primary... so the 5 minute ride lol.. to school gave us time to catch up on whatever popped up. We got to school and decided to wait in the car for the others... Albert that bum.. tried to stink up the car with the vivid fumes by shaking the vivid. After doing that he realised that he got ink on his shirt.. which he then decided "hey it's a good thing.. I think I'll make the rest of my shirt like that" so he goes and puts more splatters of ink on his shirt. We get into the hall and sit down, the first thing that is asked is " What happened to you, man" lol.. He got it everywhere lol.. even on my face that bum lol. Also got to catch up with Penieli another school friend. The performances were interesting.. all singing really other than our bring it on girls but yea.. I realised it was another church function, but they didn't talk so much so.. yea..well it ended at like 9 or so pm, was going to give Albert a ride home.. but he was impatient and couldn't wait, so I just gave Leva and a few of her sisters a ride home.. leaving one of her sisters behind to walk with Penieli.. hehe... all in all it was a funny day... lol.. very interesting.. Tonight was the hockey dinner, I went ahead early and reserved the table since I didn't really think that, that many people would be there so the tables wouldn't be needed really..I bumped into Anna while wandering around aimlessly waiting for everyone else to arrive. So I walked with her to her sisters work so she could sell some chocolates lol then to the bus stop so she could go home and that's when we saw Cathy waiting for her bus to town.
Dinner started and we were going to wait until everyone arrived but Rachel was running late, and it would have been a while before she would get there so.. everyone just started lol. Everyone was enjoying themselves taking a few pictures.. eating as much as they could lol, making conversation. After eating well more like half way through Rachel and my dessert lol, Rachel V and I decided to announce the awards..lol.. they look just like diplomas. We gave out the awards and a little bar of chocolate, it would have been a larger block but we didn't have enough to buy everyone a bar of chocolate. I was going to say everything and just get some assistance from Rachel but I ended up stuffing it up on the first person lmao.. so.. ended up having Rachel take over the speeches hehe^^ there wasn't many people but more than I expected would arrive.. there was roughly 10 so more than half the team came. Too bad the juniors didn't come because it would have been a good thing, get them out and get more friendly with the seniors but since we only have two juniors, if one didn't go the other didn't, oh well. Once that was all done.. we all left and many of them went into the mall to hang around. Work off the calories they just got. Well I've still got some awards left for those that didn't come, so I'm going to have to find them tomorrow to hand them out. September 16
Woohoo!!! for the past week we've had our final school exams, and am I glad it's over. I realised that during my "holidays" I'm going to need to do alot of revising, especially with the papers I got for my subjects... man... Tuesday I had stats and I can't believe that when I sat down and opened one paper my mind went blank, I knew how to do the topic - I studied it slightly but I completely forgot everything, Wednesday I had economics and well that seemed to go ok, but I kind of forgot some of the definitions so I just made up a whole lot of bull lol. Thursday was accounting and then english, since I didn't really study properly because I fell asleep I went in and didn't really care... but I did manage to get alot done, I was amazed.. ok it wasn't easy but I got alot more done than I thought I would and english well yea.. we'll just leave that shall we lol.. you can imagine how I went on that lol.. Well I'm glad it's over and I need to prepare for the externals, I think the only paper I'm looking forward to getting back is economics lol. How sad...:(
Today was our final hockey game for the season.. awww.... so sad, glad it's a week before the end of the term though because it's a less amount of time to wait for tennis to start lol. Anyway we played Western Springs lol.. and that was very difficult. In the 2nd half I swapped with Louise so she could run more and I could take a break at the back with the goalie lol.. but apparently the switch did some good because we started scoring then. I got told off about how I hit, firstly I almost, I mean almost hit this chick in the face, I was about a few cms away because she was coming at me and I had already swung my stick at the ball but I missed.. yea.. so.. oh well...it's over now.. but we won, we won our final game. Oh oh oh and Lynfield 1 lol finally lost a game lol. yay!!!! Undefeated for the whole season and they finally lost to Waitakere lol oh yea.. also our coach finally did something, she told our sports coordinator about the "incident" we had last Friday with Lynfield's coach and hehe that lady got told off shame on her by the sports office like the people that run everything.. lol.. that was my highlight of the day lol.. just knowing she got told off for her attitude lol. First of all HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY ANEESYA!!! for tomorrow since probably won't have time to do this tomorrow. We're going to town and just hanging out and then going to have a bbq at Neshia's place and watch movies... lol.. that's so studying, but we'll crash study on Sunday lol. Hehe we made Neshia carry this flower around school and it couldn't bend so she couldn't put it in her bag :D so all day everyone is just laughing and looking at her weirdly because she's carrying around a bright blue, really happy flower... sooo funny lol..
Ok anyway I had hockey today at Avondale versus Lynfield 2 and we ended in a draw.. it's fine since now we'll just be 2nd unless we can get a 7 point difference next week to come out on top. The "coach" of the team has a really bad attitude problem.. well that's what we all think anyway. First she asks us where our ref was and we're like we don't have one, then where's our coach and again she wasn't there. She seriously thought we were joking, we had no coach, no ref, and not even enough players to make a full team but luckily it was more than 7 so we didn't lose by default. During the game the "coach" gives us grief just because we don't have a ref, we didn't know what the call was for so we're like
us: "What was that for?"
her: "I don't know, don't look at me, I'm not the one who didn't decide to supply a referree"
man.. what's her problem and I bet you she's not even the coach because she didn't even know how to ref herself stupid lady...Lynfield had about 3 players from their 1st XI but the thing is they're not meant to do that, if they need players they have to get them from the team below them not above, what the??? There's like this specific girl, she was quite big but I'm not sure of her name. Anyway when Rozhan finally decides to turn up she trips her up accidently and well she started crying to the ref... like come on get a grip man.. I fall over all the time, I get hit all the time don't see me crying. Oh and by the way she did hit me with the ball on my thigh..but that was after I whacked my stick at this girl because I missed the ball.. but I feel stink because she was the nice chick. The whole team doesn't even like her but they have to listen to her because she's in the 1st XI whoopi!! Their goalie, although unprotected doesn't even go to that school.. man I bet if they took out all the people who aren't meant to be in there they would have lost so badly or have defaulted because they didn't have enough players. Anyway that ref was just pissing us all off, she threatened to complain to our school if they didn't win.."we're like so.. it's not our fault" besides if we get in trouble it's our coach's fault for leaving to snowboard again!!! and she started it, we've played so many games with only one ref and they didn't give us any attitude. She talked back to us, so she should expect us to do the same in return.. I know bad sportsmanship but come on.. many of you would agree right??? Oh and she made this guy ref because.. you know why?... because she couldn't run in heels like come on!! why the hell would you wear heels to a hockey game anyway knowing you may have to ref...stupid cow :P so yeah.. anyway that's the thing that pissed me off today.. and that was just hockey...
Hockey dinner is finally decided, it is now on the 21st of Sept at Pizza Hut... took long enough to organise. Well the game is mainly what I wanted to share to the world oh and I'll probably give a heads up to Katie (sports coordinator) just incase the "coach" complains to us about our attitude.. I don't mind about our coach because she deserves a good telling off but not for our attitude because she had it coming.. well that's all for now... September 05
Firstly HAPPY BIRTHDAY DALJIT!!!!
Today we had our final practical for the term for our Zeal Training. It was fun, first 3 team members had to go over these cones, then roll over on a mat, crawl under a mat with egg shells and dishwashing liquid then skip until they were told to stop, put on a pair of stockings, blow up 2 balloons and finally pop them in their stockings lol.. oh all the while being blind folded up to the point when putting on the stockings lol.. from our team Mary, Aggy, and Becca did that..oh and Dez wasn't there again.. lol she doesn't seem to be there when we have them hmmm.. lol.. nah.. anyway it was so funny watching people slip on the liquid while they were skipping. We came last but that's alright and Kat's team came first I think lol... The next stage for dunking for whitebaite in a bucket of vinegar.. ewww man.. the stench was bad, smelt like really bad toe jams lol.. I had to do that since I didn't do the last one and apparently after, I found out people took their goggles off, but it wasn't such a good idea since the vinegar ended up stinging their eyes.. aww... hope they get better., also found out that Neshia swallowed a mouth full of whitebaite mixed with vinegar..eww... man.. and she's still sick from that.. so hope you get better ay. Next up was dunking for chocolate bars mmmm... in a little potty seat full of mountain dew and maybe fruit juice we're not entirely sure yet lol, good on Mary for doing that and finishing first, well done Melissa for not giving up.. lol Mary couldn't stop laughing especially with Anna shouting at Cathy who was also laughing trying to complete the stage lol.. Last but not least was a quiz, general knowledge, lol.. to show integrity lol.. man.. did I suck lol..I got like how many wrong, oh well.. at least it was something fun to end off the term before stress kicks in lol. not that it hasn't already lol. In the end we got to have more pizza woohoo!!! for having them and turning up and all, but we're not done. We start back up again for the final 3 weeks next term lol.
On a sadder more depressing note, we have exams next week, glad I have both Monday and Friday off to study, but I have Accounting and English on the same day.. yay!! but at least it's not stats and accounting.., so guess it's better. I've still got to hand in the articles especially since many haven't been done and I was apparently somehow nominated to collect them all and hand them in all at once..hm... how'd that happen lol. It's gonna be a looonnnggg week, staying up late to study and then sitting in a silent room for hours.. I'm not good with silent rooms, I get hungry.. and I've tried eating beforehand but I get hungry half way through rather than at the beginning.. alot that does huh... oh well. have to deal with it. Finally got a confirmation on the hockey dinner, it ended up being my original plan just on a different day.. wow that got me far, well now I know what needs to be done I can get that done after the exams since it shouldn't take that long so yea..Well better get to it then.. otherwise I'll be on this forever. Man it's been tiring, studying is the last thing on my mind at the moment. I've got my articles for the magazine due on Monday, a web design assessment due before the exams, catching up on my accounting work, a blueprint to be done by Tuesday for the Zeal training, the hockey dinner which now I have to call a meeting for... man should have just stuck to the original. *sigh* damn.. I have to study!!! exams are coming and I have two weeks to prepare I don't think that's enough especially since I've got to catch up on all my accounting work, try and understand my english work and yadda yadda yadda don't need to bore anyone with all the work I have to do.
Well on a brighter note we had hockey yesterday against Waitakere and we won, but I'm amazed we played as a team since our coach was actually there. We played pretty good, especially since usually she's not there and we play good but she was... I can't believe that. Well I better go now.. have alot to do and not enough time to do it in.. I know I know, cliche but ehh lol...it's true. August 30
Hm.... well its been a while. Saturday Kat, Neshia and I were one of the few people that went to the Auckland Uni open day. Kat and I went to an art lecture and went on the ELAM tour. We went to a BCom lecture, where I finally got to catch up with my friend Amy from intermediate which after we went to a marketing lecture... sooo much walking that I've done all year. Walking up and down the hill to get to Queen St. We met Calum and had lunch at Wendy's well Kat and Neshia did, then Calum had to go to Britomart to meet his friends. We then met up with Neshia's friends so we could go to the Bcom lecture. Well I met up with everyone at Starbucks after my Marketing lecture which didn't last very long since 10 minutes later Kat and I left to go back to Uni for the ELAM tour, leaving Neshia to talk with her friends.. and talk and talk and talk.. well I don't actually know how much talking happened but I presume it was alot. Man after taking that tour I so wanted to do that course just for fun so I could use the machines to play with or use the digital computers, lol and I was nowhere close to finding what course I'm doing.. yay!! what great help that was huh. Oh just to note... what's up with the university being green, the toilets are green the law area was green!!! Anyway on the way back we were confused on whether we were going back on the bus or not.. so Kat and I made a decision and chose to stay behind, leaving Neshia to catch the bus with the others. After meeting up with her we left to go shopping for the shoe shop Kat was looking for, we happened to have walked back down the way we came for a couple of metres before realising we had to go back the other way lol.. anyway it was very tiring and interesting.. man that market in Aotea Square has pretty interesting stuff, oh after all the walking we finally found the place but we were too late, we found a shop that had nice clothing, it was hand painted but cost alot - a diary was like $155 alone!!!!! shesh imagine how much the jeans cost. Well that sums up that day.
Sunday was funky... I went to a presentation/congregation for Zeal and well it was more interesting than the previous churches I'd been to. The music was upbeat and fun lol.. For our presentation we just had to speak about what we learnt and yea.. it was Mary, Anna, Tishka and myself that spoke... I told the supervisor I shouldn't do it since I laugh when I speak and everyone knew it, so when it was my turn they were all waiting for me to laugh.. which I didn't disappoint lol.. well at least I got it over with, it wasn't very long but I did lol.. I originally was going to say to calm my nerves was "Hi, my name is Melissa and I'm an alcoholic" but that didn't seem appropriate so yea.. and I sorta froze before speaking for a couple of seconds. After the whole thing ended we got to have snacks and drinks.. they made really nice hot chocolates...mmm... also Tonia and Aggy took random photos with random people almost lol.. it was fun.. we did all that before going home...
I finally found out when our web design is due.. which is before exams begin so that's good. I don't need to drag things out, I'm almost done I've just got to do a few more things and economics is due on Friday but I don't think I'll be there so I have to hand it in earlier otherwise I'll try handing it in at the end of the day when I get back. Man I've got to go study.. *sigh* better get cracking on accounting since I don't think I'm going to do so well. Man... been told off twice already for not having my work on me during class.. thinks I haven't done it, well the first time was true but not the second lol ok well better get a move on before I get sidetracked and I think that's enough for today. Ok this week has been well.. not bad I guess. We had training on Monday as usual and as usual our coach didn't turn up.. and she was back from where ever she was last time. So not much really happened that week.
Oh we haven't had a teacher for web design for the past two weeks, the first week was because she was going away for netball?? I think her daughter was playing and the next week was because her father passed away.. so Mrs Obrien sorry for your loss.
I finally got to talk to Rachel (hockey capt.) about the hockey dinner we were going to have and well we had everything sorted until we had "training" the next day to find out that they wanted to change the venue.. so now we're going to have it elsewhere. Oh our "training" wasn't really training we just ended up sitting and watching the cricket team practice after discussing the dinner plans. If you're wondering if we were planning on getting the coach to come because she hasn't been there... well she ain't... she's not invited because she hasn't done jack... selfish cow... :P.
Had culture day yesterday and well I didn't know how well the talent quest went because I wasn't there but the fashion show was alright... the juniors were more excited about it than the seniors were and both times we had some unexpected last minute things. The seniors show.. Neshia, Priti and Vaishali put in their 5c and did a random and kind of weird performance... the juniors show had one of the maori teachers model and Danny modelling in here lava lava wrapped around her neck lol... all in all it was funny and interesting to see all the different costumes.
Finally today... um... well we didn't have a teacher for accounting so the whole time I just sat there learning a few words of mandarin from one of the international students in the class.. man I soooooo suck at it lol. Gotta revise man... lol... Stats we didn't do much because we came back late from assembly. Which we had a presentation on drugs and the choices we make.. it was very convincing because the speaker had been through it and as a result of that he now has liver disease and so he was dying as he spoke.. so sad... but at least he's doing his part to make sure we all don't do the same.. hehe went to Kelston Boys after and well I know a few people down there that need to really listen to him... hopefully they didn't wag it.
Hockey we won by default because they only had 4 people and so we played a friendly game until the rest of the team came like half way through.. what the??? don't they know it starts at 4 or they going with the island times and comes half and hour later. Oh and guess who I saw.... I saw Amy!!!! man haven't seen her in ages.. she still the same other than the fact she's got eyeliner on... it's called eyeliner right?? lol I don't know makeup.. yea and will be seeing her tomorrow when we go to auckland uni's open day.

Lol well guessing you might all be wondering what Zeal is if you haven't heard of it, well it's pretty much this leadership course that has been going on for the past 3 weeks at our school. They help mould and build us as leaders, to influence those around us, to make a difference in someone's life and many other things still to come.
Ok well today we had our 8 hour intensive I think it was 8 hours, well we started off at school. Got a briefing on what to do for our little amazing race, which were that we weren't allowed to contact our family, friends, hitch-hike and were only allowed two bus trips and also a little lesson for the day. Apparently we have an assignment to come up with a proposal to design a way to raise $40 000 in order to update our MCC.
Anyway that aside we went off to start our little west auckland version of The Amazing Race lol. Cosasian Invasion was our group name and well rather than running around the school to get outside like the other teams we jumped the fence instead lol.. Becca didn't get over the first try and fell back, but she finally got over and me, I almost fell head first into the ground as I jumped over because my foot got caught lol.. anyway we ran down Great North Road and we were going to run all the way to Avondale Racecourse which was our first pit stop, lucky Becca saw the taxi coming up behind us and shouted "TAXI!!!" lol so I shouted to Mary to get the taxi lol. Fortunately the taxi actually stopped although it wasn't meant to because it stopped on the yellow dotted lines. We reached the first pit stop in enough time. The first challenge was to complete the puzzle, too bad we didn't read it properly to decide who to go first and just did eeny meeny miney mo lol.. so Becca got to do it and it was good that we got to help just weren't allowed to touch it so that got us finised faster and onto the next pit stop just as the other teams were arriving.
On our way out we planned to either walk/run to New Lynn for our 2nd pit stop in Les Mills but luckily I saw this taxi and people were leaving it, so I shouted out "taxi anyone?" lol. Ended up getting to Les Mills before the supervisors and well that didn't take long since it was a rowing thing and well Aggy was doing that and she only had to be on for like 2 minutes so that was good. We got to the bus stop so we could catch the bus to the next stop and well the next one was like 20 minutes away so we thought we would wait, then we saw Antonia's team "Ignite" and well after they went past we waited for another 2 minutes before making the decision to catch the taxi that was just waiting outside the bus stop lol.
Taxied to Waikumete Cemetery our 3rd pit stop arriving just before the main supervisors. We were told to look for this man (*who was one of the supervisors father) and well it took a while, we were in the right area but we didn't realise that the name of the streets were on the curb until 10 minutes after we started which was when the other teams had arrived. After realising that we found the tombstone and as I was doing that challenge I had to write what was said on it, which was pretty long lucky I only had to write half otherwise the others would of caught on. We diverted the other teams by just wandering around buying me time to write everything down ay lol..On the way back to the start Becca pretended to say that the tombstone was near the beginning so we ran down that way and apparently Antonia's team believed us lol so they went the same way. Once we got to the start, we chose whether to do a detour or do beauty which later found out was getting one of our eyebrows done lol. We chose detour since it gave us the most points which we all did. Hehe we asked if we were allowed to "borrow" another teams transport lol.. which we were because there were no rules. So we borrowed Ignite's transport without knowing it until we got into the van and were on the way to Glen Eden Library for the detour.
It was borrowing though because the taxi driver went back to the cemetery to pick up the Ignite team who didn't realise we took it in the first place until the end lol. At the library it was Mary's turn and we just had to find a bible and copy a specific verse which once we got back to school Mary would have to recite to a supervisor lol. Once again there was a taxi just waiting outside so we took that and arrive about just over 1 hour before the deadline lol. Next were the underdogs "Hot Pink" who were Kat, Jess, Jolene, Kalo and Melissa B. 3rd was "Ignite" who were Antonia, Megan, Lexie, Tishka and Nazy and 4th were "Synergy of the Nation" who were Neshia, Cathy, Courtney and Anna.
Hehehe all in all it was a very fun day, only if it was longer lol. Everyone had there moments during the day, arguments, trips/falls, manipulation, humilation lol and many more lol. The taxi's were in our favour, they were always there when we finished our challenges lol. In the end we all were shouted dinner which was great. Anyway this blog is long enough so better stop lol.. so have a great read lol.. I may write alot but doesn't mean I read alot lol.

I'm calm, I'm back!! lol
lol well I would of mentioned it before but was still kind of annoyed from Tuesday. So HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY MOONHO who turned 17 on Thursday.
Ok well I've calmed down after a couple of days and now back to my normal self yay!!, it got better near the end of Wednesday with just laughing at Cathy the whole time in Stats, it wasn't even that funny, her blondeness but I kept laughing and laughing. I think that's mostly what I needed to let it out through laughing for 5 mins straight lol.. oh well lol...Glad that's over now. Hmm.. maybe the next time I should just hang around with Cathy and her little crew and I should be better in no time.. with all her stupidity/blondeness lol.. never know.. hopefully it's not anytime soon.... don't like being annoyed or pissed that much, am more of the relaxed type so yea.
Today we had our final day for Soccer vs the teachers and well they won, now I'm not a good referree so if I seemed bias it wasn't really that I just didn't know how to ref lol...oh well it's all in good fun.. not really like it did much good.. it took ages to get a goal in whether or not I stopped it. It was hilarious though, we had a few students who kept missing the ball, people falling over, teacher kicking the ball in the wrong direction lol. Guess who fell over this time.. it's not who your thinking.. unless I already told you, then it is but it was our former yr13 dean/careers advisor.. who not only fell over but fell over TWICE!!! lmao what a crack up lol.
Tomorrow I'll be going to an intervention with a few other leaders of the school for the Zeal leaders training programme, so far we know we're going to be doing a amazing race type thing around west auckland and get shouted lunch.. woohoo!!! yea free food lol. We're in 5 teams I think and by tomorrow we're meant to have a team name but at the moment our team doesn't have one so hopefully someone comes up with something tomorrow morning lol. So if anyone at all sees girls running around the vicinity trying to find something, we don't mind if you lend us a helping hand lol.. we're just not allowed contact with family and maybe friends lol.. so act like a stranger I think we're allowed that lol.. ehh .. I don't really know.. should be fun though.. I'm in the team with Head Girl Mary, Prefects Aggy and Becka and Peer Supporter Leader Desiree but she won't be able to attend. lol it should be one hell of a funny day lol..
Well that's about it I think.. would mention hockey but we didn't have a game today so yea.. oh and I'm beginning to get sick, one of many others in the school to get sick. August 15
*sigh* Just a warning... if I seem too quiet, or I don't seem like my usual self (hungry and sorta happy most of the day) it's because I'm tired and annoyed. If I seem blonde more than often excuse me, if I get pissed off at you for something small or nothing at all, if I seem sarcastically bitchy which I don't know if I can, if I am any of those or any I haven't mention then I apologise and let me be.. I should be myself soon.. hopefully depending on how far "some" people push me. Soo.. Today is just a normal day, but i realised that I can't do it anymore, well actually I realised ages ago but I could handle it then but now.... By it I mean getting up early in the morning for class, for training, for meetings, just for school... it's probably a phase but for now this is how it is. Morning class is just draining me, especially since I get up early starting Tuesday because Monday is reserved for training which by the way is pointless because well.. guess what?! Yep if you guessed right.. our "coach" doesn't turn up. She doesn't turn up to games or to training what's the use of having her as a coach if she's too lazy to wake up early once a week to train which by the way SHE suggested because SHE didn't want to train us afterschool because SHE doesn't function after 3:20pm. I mean what kind of person doesn't function after 3:20pm she does reports, marking, meetings doesn't she? training is just another thing to do. I altered my timetable to suit her stupid need, its only one class and I do make it up the next period but it's useless if I did that for nothing. Well we're probably going to get a new coach which will be Rachel's dad, who's a really good player. Although we only have about four games left it's better than just relying on our skills we already had. Stupid coach, stupid! stupid! stupid coach.. slack too. She's so useless!!!!
This morning I had morning class.... whoa a surprise there and yeah, continued with my assessment which I still haven't found out when it's due. Anyway in our class there is a little group of girls that come to class and talk. Now what's the point of waking up early to sit in a class and talk which you can do in any other class after 8:30 am, I could handle them before, it was easy to ignore them then but is it me? or are they just getting louder by the day? and are they talking about absolute crap?. If they don't keep it down the next time I think I'm going to lose it, you'd think I have a hangover and loud noises just get me annoyed.. but no it's them, their chatting and annoying voices at 7:45am. Ahhhh I just want silence!!! Is that too much to ask for one hour?. It's a morning class, you'd expect silence because it's too early, people are tired!!! You know we should just vote to kick them out of class since they don't do jack and let them fail the damn class, that's what they get for not taking the class seriously. I mean you would think they're in capable of multi-tasking, that's what girls should be good at, doing work and talking at the same time... how hard is that?!! well apparently it's difficult for them.. shesh!!! hopeless buggers... if they still want to do the class they should be in the other print design class doing web design at least it'll get them out of my way.
Meetings! meetings! meetings! ok well I don't have that many meetings but those are draining me because there just inconvienent.. I have nothing against them..I know, Got to go because you need to discuss things and blah blah blah.. but I just don't want to go.. I want to sleep!!! Oh by the way it's just the worse time to get assessments.. well I technically haven't got any yet.. but if I'm still in this mood then it's a bad time to get them.. I still have economics due in a few weeks, and web design. Upcoming internals:- english and accounting woohoo... not..I doubt I'll give a stuff when I get the assessment, I just can't be bothered, I just recently was able to catch up with accounting and maths because I fell behind from doing nothing all day. Accounting I'm not entirely sure I'm getting but the teacher is no help since they renewed everything and she doesn't get it herself what great help that is, Maths is just maths.. statistics, same old.. but we seem to be moving forward but me I'm at a pit stop.. English? well I never liked english never had so that speaks for itself. I think I just want to go to a turf and hit all day just to get my frustration out.. that or a tennis court.. hmm.... actually I want to do anything but school... just anything.. sports, clubbing, drink (this time I mean get wasted although I normally don't), just anything... see how sick of it I am.. I'm willing to get drunk.. *sigh* I'm not having a mental breakdown if that's what your thinking I'll be fine... just as long as I don't get pissed off and have had time to relax. I think I might go to the gym.. go hit the boxing bag... that's as close as I can get... well think that's enough ranting and raving I should share for now.. probably hear more the next time.. when that is.. might be at uni.. oh speaking of which I don't know what my 2nd major should be for my course.. but at least I have a fair idea about that so that's good. well back to the school work.. yippee... uuggghhh August 11
First of all.. just want to mention...Kat and Yaz are in Thursday's issue of the Western Leader.. woohoo!!! well the Arts fest was a pretty good turn out We had many drama performances (hark, hark the dogs do bark, big brother little sister, and a few others), the wearable arts fashion show, the maori group and the bring it on group.. I think there's something else but not too sure. The bring it on group were the main group I wanted to see, lol.. it was such a great performance, embarrassing a little since their overalls fell down showing off the girls' boxers, shorts lol.. but it was still funny.. Got to meet up with a few other friends from school and Jess.. who we haven't seen like over a year now.. still the same old, that's good. Well.. I was suppose to properly introduce myself to a friend that night but I didn't end up seeing him.. well actually I did but I had to go somewhere so too bad oh well lol.. not that big of a deal.. took a while if for me to meet my other friend lol.
Today at lunch we had our final day of dodgeball.. it was students vs the teachers, because there happened to be more students than teachers as we expected we decided to put our sports committee in to even it out and a few year 13 students... it was soo much fun, the teachers did well.. our principal Mrs Fox and deputy principal Mrs Buckland turned up which was soo good of them. There were like over 30 students against like just under 20 teachers lol.. they did good for themselves though lol. Laughing at the teachers trying to dodge all the balls, they won the first round.. when the sports committee joined in, and lost the last round because they held the ball too long. So hilarious.. some teachers couldn't throw but it was the fun of the game hehe and finally the highlight.. my accounting teacher!!! she had such enthusiam, she dodged for a ball that was heading for her head and somehow slipped on her own landing head first into our gym floor.. aww lol. Well hopefully we get a good turn out for the teachers again next week when we play soccer. Oh and the teacher that took it out, which I mean was the best out of all the teachers was Mr Naidu.. lol.. he maybe short but he's good lol.
Had a hockey game versus Lynnfield 1.. ohh and just a little rambling about our coach who apparently decided she might not be coming to our game again this time I think she might be heading to Wellington.. sheesh.. will she ever turn up to anything.. she comes to training but she leaves in 2 mins.. because that's soooo training might as well train ourselves. I guess it's sort of good because then since I do play better like I did the last time she didn't come to lol. oh yea and the score was 1 all so better than 3-1 to them last time hehe^^ yay
